And relax: The best spas for some serious R&R

Spring is almost in our sights but we’ve still got a while to go before we can enjoy a long, lazy bank holiday weekend. To soften the blow and to get you through the next few weeks, why not book into one of these spas for a little ‘you’ time?

The spa features a thalassotherapy pool, gym, sauna, 25-meter pool, steam rooms and much, much more. For fitness bunnies there’s numerous fitness classes (up to 20 a day) including the likes of water polo, aqua aerobics and yoga, the gym comes complete with personal trainers should you need to shed a few of those extra pounds you gained over Christmas. There’s a real focus on healthy living and general well-being here so don’t be surprised if you leave feeling healthier than you did when you arrived. Spa days start from £59.

This red brick country house has been updated into a top-notch spa hotel with all the trimmings including luxury accommodation and an excellent restaurant. The facilities are vast and their thermal spa is described as an ‘indoor playground for adults’ and we can see why. It features an indoor and outdoor waterfall pool, a rose sauna, a colour flow cave with steamy, intoxicating scents, a cave like lagoon and numerous treatment rooms. What more do you need?
