Sunset Boulevard, Curve, Leicester Sat 16 Set – Sat 30 Sept
My favourite theatre in Leicester is bringing one of the all-time great musicals, Sunset Boulevard to stage. Starring Ria Jones, the show tells the story of faded, silent-screen goddess, Norma Desmond. Impoverished screen writer, Joe Gillis, on the run from debt collectors, stumbles into her reclusive world and becomes trapped in a claustrophobic world where he is persuaded to work on Norma’s ‘masterpiece’, a film script that she believes will put her back in front of the cameras.
