Operation Earth, National Space Centre, Leics, until Sun 25 Feb

Join Mission Commanders, along with expert scientists, as they investigate the science of planet Earth. Become a trainee environmental scientist and help them investigate land, air and oceans, and see if together you can find solutions to some of the issues in the world today. Throughout the day the mudlets will also be able to join workshops, demonstrations and hands on science sessions.

Visit Conkers, half term fun, Sat 10 Feb – Sun 25 Feb

Head to Conkers this weekend and beyond and let the mudlets enjoy a daily craft activities including a variety of ranger activities including bush craft, construction derby and orienteering. There will also be  live shows to enjoy such as a Punch and Judy, hilarious clowns and the chance to watching some amazing acrobats. Don’t forget there’s a 120 acres to explore along with the 4D Cinema, indoor play and 450 metre bare foot walk and CONKERCHOO train.

Children’s Glass Fusion workshop, Market Harborough, Wed 14 Feb

Design and make mini sun catchers with lots of different coloured glass, with glass tutor Sarah. They will be taken away and fired for you to collect. Two sessions to choose from (10-11am or 11.15-12.15pm) and suitable for children age 6+. Cost £15.

Wonderful Welly Walk, Bosworth, Wed 14th Feb

Grab your weliess and enjoy a short walk outside where you can collect leaves and then head back inside to create some artwork with your findings. Cost: £3.00 per child . Running until 25 Feb you can also take part in the Animal Hunt. Pick up a sheet from the ticket office, explore the Heritage Centre and Country Park to find the hiding animals and return to collect your prize. Cost: £2 per child.

The Little Cooks Club, Kirby Muxloe, Mon 12 Feb

Kick off their February half term in style by bringing your kids along to this fun cookery class. They’ll get to prepare and cooking some delicious bites together and getting involved in a simple craft activity – giving them the opportunity to try their hand at baking and making in a fun, friendly and safe environment. From 9:45am to 10:45am.

Head to your local library to meet and handle some amazing animals. Tickets are £3 per child and booking is essential to avoid disappointment.  4-12 year old and must be accompanied with an adult. Libraries taking part are Earl Shilton, Hinckley, Wigsotn, Blaby, Shepshed, Coallville. Lutterworth, brighten Astley, Oadby, Melton and Birstall. Call your local library up from the list above to check times  and dates.

Little Crafters, Market Harborough, Mon 12 Feb

A crafty hour especially for children aged 4-7 years old where they can try 3 – 4 different activities each time, with lots to experiment with, make and take home. Younger and older siblings welcome. The course runs from 10-11 am and is £6 per child. Meanwhile on Friday 16th, from 1-3pm kids can join a one-off sewing workshop where they can make a personalised tote bag – how cool is that?!  Suitable for Juniors age 7+ upwards, no prior knowledge is required. £16.
