Ladies Who Love to Shop Pop-Up, Kibworth, Sat 3 Nov

Organised by the lovely duo from Mon Amie, it’s back again and this year you can expect just as many gorgeous local brands at this fab shopping event. There will be 40 stalls and you can expect everything from fashion to jewellery and marshmallows, brownies, coffee, wine plus everything in between! Bring your bags and get ready to shop till you drop! 10-4pm. £2.50 entrance cost.

Abbey Park Fireworks, Leicester, Sat 3 Nov

The city’s official celebration, this one is of course Leicester’s biggest bonfire and firework display. The lighting of the bonfire and main display is always a spectacular sight and there’s always  a quieter show for the tots to enjoy. There will be live entertainment, funfair and plenty of food stalls. This year’s theme is Saturday Night Fever – John Travolta fans (guilty) will not be disappointed! Booking essential. Adult £6 under 16’s £4 and family of four £16, under 4s free – more on the gate. Tickets are available from Visit Leicester, De Montfort Hall Box Office.

Firework Night, Visit Conkers, Swadlincote, Sat 3 Nov – Sun 4 Nov

As well as a spectacular fireworks show, you can enjoy a laser disco, fairground rides, face painting, tombola and this year there’s even a range of craft activities for the kids. Cost – adults £8 and kids £6.

Mallory Parks annual Bonfire and Firework Spectacular returns on Friday 2nd November, and it’s going to be bigger and better than ever. Expect an evening filled with a fun fair, a bonfire, live music, food and drink stalls and a spectacular firework display set to live music from 5-9pm. From £4.

Firework Display and Funfair at Leicester Racecourse, Oadby, Sat 3 Nov

Rainbows Hospice will be hosting the annual family-friendly bonfire night at Leicester Racecourse. During the evening, you will also get to enjoy a brilliant bonfire which is certain to keep you toasty as night falls. The family-friendly firework spectacular will also host an exciting funfair for thrill seekers to enjoy between 5.30pm and 10pm, while there will be a number of stalls, bars and food for you to enjoy.

Expect a fantastic fire, a huge firework display, refreshments and children’s rides. You can arrive at the gate  or even better, travel in heritage style by train from Loughborough, Rothley or Leicester North stations. Combine the magic of a train ride at night with a sensational firework display – see you there. Choo Choo! Cost on the gate (no train ride) cash only, adults £9, kids £6, family (2 adults and up to 3 children) £22 and under 2s go free.

Fireworks Night, Rutland Lions, Sat 3 Nov

The Oakham Rugby Club plays host to this annual bonfire night. The 7pm show will be for the kids and the 7.45 show will be complete with big bangs to create the perfect sight for spectators. There will be a barbecue fayre of hot dogs and burgers and the rugby club bar will be open. £6 on the night, £5 in advance. Tickets available from Fords of Oakham and from Uppingham Sport & Book. Please note that family tickets will not be available on the night.

Cottesmore Bonfire and Fireworks Night, Sun 4 Nov

The annual firework event kicks off again with a great fireworks display – there will also be an area for sparklers, fairground rides, stalls, a kids roundabout, bar and refreshments. Advanced Price: adults £4 kids – £1 (gate price: adults £6 kids £1.50) on sale from Cottesmore Village Shop. Gates Open 4pm.

Wicked Hathern Fireworks and Bonfire, Hathern, Sat 3 Nov

One for the kids who enjoy all the dazzle of the fireworks but not the noise; the silent display is great for little ones and then the main one kicks off after. Packed with huge fireworks and set against a stunning backdrop – this really is one of the best displays in Charnwood. There’s a fun fair, a bar, live music and even a dance floor. Expect lots of food too from Mexican to pizza and everything in between. Advance price, adults £6 and kids £4 babies 0-4 years free.

For something different but just as much fun – there will be a circus theme running through this event with  stilt walkers, a circus workshop and of course a Punch and Judy show plus a funfair and live music too. Get your tickets here.

360 Degree Fireworks at Cattows Farm, Sat 3 Nov

Calling itself the UK’s biggest 360 Fireworks Display, this really is one display you don’t want to miss! Expect some 60,000 fireworks and a fun laser display, there’s also live bands, children’s fairground rides and so much more. Tickets from £11.50.

Loughborough Fair, Weds 7 Nov – Sat 10 Nov

The historic fair is back in the Market Place with old favourites and new rides for all the thrill seekers. Whether you are coming for the ride of your life or simply to walk round and take in the atmosphere, make sure the date is put in your diary. This year expect including old favourites such as Waltzers, Dodgems, Galloping Horses, together with the Kiddies’ Corner and the extreme ride and perhaps one or two surprise attractions.

Rutland Poppy Project, Market Place/Oakham Castle until 24 Nov

Witness the display of community made poppies on the grounds of Oakham Caslte. This community art work is to commemorate the centenary of the end of The Great War. The Poppies will be available to buy from the Castle, Museum and Library from 24th Nov 2018 for a suggested donation of £2 per poppy. Proceeds will go to The Royal British Legion.

Legally Blonde: The Musical, Uppingham, Weds 28 Nov 

The smash hit Broadway and West End Musical based on the best loved movie follows beautiful and popular sorority sister Elle Woods who loves to be pampered and is passionate about pink who manages to bags herself a place at the prestigious Harvard Law School to try and win her ex-boyfriend back. With the support of her new friends she learns that you can be both fashionable and smart. This fantastic musical stars students of Uppingham School.

The Market Harborough Town Square comes alive from November 30th to December 2nd with the annual Market Harborough Christmas Market.  This festive event will feature a wide range of stalls selling a host of handcrafted, artisan-made, unusual and exotic arts, crafts, clothing and jewellery alongside a great choice of food and drink. 12:00pm until 7:00pm
