Join the Mission Commanders as they journey to the “red planet” of Mars! Drop in to the ObserVRtarium, make your own LEGO mini movie and observe and test a variety of space rock samples to search for evidence of life on another planet.

Enjoy face painting during the Easter break and on Sat 31 March and Sun 1 April the family will be able to meet the small chicks at this lovely city farm book in advance and only £1 per person. Meanwhile on 30 March and Easter Monday you can get up close to the lambs and you may even have the chance to enjoy a cuddle.

Eggzooburant Easter, Twycross Zoo, Sat 25 March – Sun 15 April

Schools out so it’s time for some extra fun  Twycross Zoo. Bring the whole family and explore over 500 animals including giraffes, meerkats, humbolt penguins, snow leopards and more. Don’t forget to crack the games and puzzles in our special Easter Trail and the kids will get to see their favourite PAW Patrol and PJ Masks characters too.

Visit Conkers, Ashby de la Zouch, Mon 26 March – 15 April

As always there’s lots of events planned at Conkers over the Easter break. Choose from Punch and Judy shows, circus acts, enjoy some animal encounters, there’s even a new magic show planned plus children’s rides, pony rides, science fun, musical workshops and more.

Easter events, GCR Loughborough, Tues 27 March – Thur 5 April

Head to the Great Central Railway for a fun few days. Meet Alice in Wonderland and The Mad Hatter on the platform at Loughborough station and the Easter bunny on the Bunny Express. From Friday you can enjoy a vintage funfair. There’s plenty for mums and dads too including craft stalls, an ale tent and live music over the weekend. Tickets £6

Peter Rabbit Party, Belgrave Hall, Leicester, Wed 28 March

The Belgrave Hall gardens bounce back to life with crafts, trails and storytelling inspired by the classic tales of Beatrix Potter. Meet some of the animal characters with an animal handling session including a giant rabbit, owl, and a hedgehog as well as the chance to meet Shetland Ponies and spring lambs. Drop in activities £3, or £5 with an animal handling session. Free car park available

Pick up a sheet from the ticket office and explore the Heritage Centre and Country Park to find the Easter bunnies and return to collect your prize. £2 per child. Join the Easter bunny on for an tea party in the Tithe Barn on Sat 31 March from 2.30-4.30pm, meanwhile on Wed 4 April you can enjoy a picnic lunch with him too.
