Rosie Garland – book signing at Kibworth Book Shop, Market Harborough, Tue 6 – 7 June

Book worms and budding authors should head to the annual Boo Fest taking place around Kibworth this month. Celebrating books and their creators, Debbie from The Bookshop Kibworth has organised some wonderful events throughout the month including the chance to meet and greet author, Rosie Garland. Celebrate the launch of Rosie’s new book, The Night Brother with a champagne reception and readings from the book. On Weds 7 at the Kibworth Cricket Club there’s the chance to meet the grandson of the founder of Faber & Faber to learn about the fascinating history of the publishing house. Toby’s top 10 favourite Faber books will be on sale as well as two titles he himself has written – tickets £5. For all these details and more events, check the website.

Kibworth Book Fest

Colourful Run, Hinckley Town Centre, Wed 7 June

The annual Colourfun Run, in aid of LOROS Hospice is taking place in the city centre. The mile-long event is returning for its fourth year and is open to all ages. As runners race along in their white t-shirts, they will enter various colour zones where they will be showered in special powder paint.
