But one day, when his parents leave him alone with the grizzly old grunion, George takes his chance and sets about creating a brand new medicine to cure her of her cruelty. Everyone knows the traditional fairytale of Belle and the Beast. This year enjoy it in pant style as Richard ‘Dick’ McCourt of children’s TV’s Dick and Dom fame will star alongside the star of ITV’s Heartbeat, David Lonsdale and Leicester’s very own Sam Bailey (oh no she didn’t) return for a second year. Expect a lot of fun and laughter in this panto version.

Vintage Cinema, Queen of Bradgate, Leicester, Fri Jan 26
Leicester bar, the Queen of Bradgate is celebrating the opening of its vintage cinema with a ‘This Is England’ themed launch night and will be attended by one of the film’s stars – Milky, aka Andrew Shim. Doors open from 7pm for cocktails, craft beer and ping pong. The film ‘This Is England’ will be shown in the cinema at 8pm, and Milky will be in the cinema afterwards. Tickets are £6 in advance from the pub or for £10 on the door BUT there are only 24 of these tickets available as there are only 24 seats – so you’ll have to be quick.
