Market Harborough Christmas Fayre, Fri 1 Dec

Enjoy a jolly old traditional family event with various stalls, music, Father Christmas (ho ho ho), the Elves’ Workshop, live performances, a fun fair, traction engines, tons of food stalls including pancakes and the festive favourite, chestnuts and best of all, the Reindeer Trail is back! After you’ve seen the real reindeer, follow the trail sheet and spot the reindeer in each shop window.

The Guildhall Christmas Craft Fair, Leicester, Sat 2 Dec- Sun 3 Dec

Warm up your tootsies by the fire at the stunning Guildhall before filling your bags with special gifts. While here, enjoy the festive atmosphere while the mudlets can enjoy trails, crafts and face painting throughout the day. 11am – 4pm.  Adults £1, children free.

Twycross Zoo, Leicestershire, Sun 2 Dec – Sat 24 Dec

This year, Santa is taking time out of his busy schedule and visiting the zoo so that children can spend as much time with him as they want. This year, there will be the chance to take a photo with Santa, as well as story-telling sessions with him, feed and meet animals with Santa and then watch festive films or take part in arts and craft sessions and more. Check the website for the available dates when Santa will be visiting. Some activities need to be booked in advance

Visit Conkers, Winter Wonderland 4d Cinema Experience, until Wed 3 Jan  

Watch a brand new ‘Winter Wonderland’ film in the 4D cinema and follow the short but magical film of how fairies make a special cake for a young girl. You’ll be amazed at the thrilling adventure as the fairies cook the cake with 4D effects including snow. The film runs for approximately 13 minutes and is included in the general admission price.

Santa’s Grotto, Wistow Rural Centre, Sat 2 Dec – Sat 24 Dec

Come and visit Santa and his elves, and at the same time buy your Christmas Tree, do some Christmas shopping in all the lovely shops and then visit the Cafe for a nice cup of tea and delicious homemade cakes. The grotto is open weekends 2/3, 9/10, 16/11, and then daily from 18-24 Dec (11am-4pm), except Christmas Eve (10am-2pm). Children are £8 (which includes a present from Santa), and Adults go free. Head to the Ken Bailey Plant Centre.

Etsy Made Local, Brew Dogs, Leicester, Sat 2 Dec

Pop along to the brand new Etsy Made Local 2017 Christmas fair in Leicester city centre. There there will be 20 fabulous vendors selling their craft for you just in time for Christmas and the first 50 visitors will receive a FREE goody back as well as a complimentary mince pie. Products include jewellery, cards, wrap, decor, christmas decorations, gifts for baby, gifts for him, gifts for her, textiles, stationery, and much more. 10am – 4pm

Clarendon Park Christmas Fair, Sun 3 Dec

Escape the city rush and enjoy your Christmas shopping while supporting independent businesses and local entrepreneurs. Soak up the local festive spirit while supporting independent businesses and browse and shop around 50 stalls selling a variety of unique gifts for everyone on your Christmas list. The fair will also have live music, fairground rides for kids, Santa’s Grotto, and great food keeping everyone entertained.
