Open Farm Sunday, Oakley Grange, Sun 10 June
Head to the farm this Open Farm Sunday and learn about our Lincoln Red cattle, Exlana sheep, outdoor pigs and the wildlife and their habitats on one of their guided farm walks. You can also explore the polytunnel and see where they grow all their own lettuce, which is picked daily and served with lunch in their café.

Squirrel At Wellsborough, Opening of new studio, Sun 10 June
Head to the opening of their grade 2 listed cottage to exhibit local wildlife photographer, Mark Green’s work. Owners Tony and Jessica will also be showcasing some of our Squirrel wares in a bell tent on the paddock . Visitors can expect to see vintage finds alongside natural beeswax soap, needle-felted native birds and more. All their handcrafted gifts are made by local individuals living no more than 20 miles from Wellsborough.

Music in the Mead, Hinckley, Sat 9 June
Argents Mead in Hinckley has become quite the spot for summer entertainment and picnics. This Saturday brings Ella-May Stanier to the bandstand, who will be performing a combination of pop, soul and jazz classics. For the kids, you can also find Storytelling in the Mead on the same day, which features short stories told magically by ‘Tom the Tale Teller’.

Gin Trail, Leicester, Fri 8 Jun – Sun 10 June
This year, St Martin’s Square a city centre hub of local independent businesses is celebrating World Gin Day with the Gin Trail. Five of the city’s best bars are taking part in the trail, 33cankstreet, 45 St Martin’s, Bodega, The Bottle Garden and Grillstock. Simply turn up and pick up a wristband from any participating venue for £18 and you can enjoy three gin cocktails between 8th and 10 June.
