Beauty and the Beast Sunday Funday, Loughborough Town Hall, Sun 2 Sept

A French-themed Sunday Funday to get the whole family excited for the upcoming Beauty and the Beast pantomime this Autumn with free activities including a behind the scenes tours, dance workshops, beginners fencing workshops (must be pre-booked and are available on a first come, first served basis) large inflatable games and much more. 10am – 3pm.

Get your gal pals and enjoy the ultimate rags to riches, 90’s feel-good chick flick starring Julia Roberts and the dashing Warren Beatty. 7:00pm until 10:30pm

Swim Rutland, Night swim, Rutland, Sat 1 Sept

The course will be in complete darkness with the moon and the stars lighting the way. Each swimmer will be issued with glow sticks, a NightSwim swim hat, safety wristbands and an emergency whistle. Start time 8pm.

Syston Carnival Sat 1 Sept

The theme this year is ‘The Great American Wild West’ so expect everyone to be wearing their Stetsons! There will be prizes for the local shops to decorate their windows and follow the theme. There will also be fun, arts and crafts and a  Writing Competition for children between the 6-11 years old. 12- 5pm.

Leicester Pride, Sat 1 Sept

The event is free to attend and celebrates equality and diversity in our community. Leicester Pride is a family event with entertainment and attractions suitable for all ages. The event starts at 12 noon with a parade through the city centre leading to the festival site on Victoria Park. Expect food and drink, market stalls and fair ground rides.

Knighton Park Festival, Sun 2 Sept

A whole day of activities and entertainment is planned for all the family. This year, enjoy dog shows, live music, food and drink, musicians, stalls, games and more. 11-5pm

The West End and Broadway Hit Drama by David Hare. Contains occasional use of strong language. The show is all about a school teacher, Kyra Hollis who receives an unexpected visit from her former lover Tom Sergeant, a successful and charismatic restauranteur whose wife has recently died. The two attempt to rekindle their once passionate relationship but find themselves locked in a dangerous battle of opposing ideologies and mutual desires. Tickets £9!
