If you’ve been in Hinckley this week, you will have noticed it’s the Snapdragon Children and Family Festival. With a different theme everyday from the seaside to fairy tales, there’s been plenty of activities for kids during the summer holiday. Even if you’ve missed some of the festival, don’t worry because Friday brings the grand finale. The Snapdragon performance spectacular!

For a celebration of the region’s best food and drink, head to the annual food fest this weekend. There will be local, national, and international cuisine on offer featuring mouth-watering hot food, a drinks zone, cakes, cheese, pies, olives, and more, a fair for youngsters and a demonstration kitchen for foodies looking for tips from professional chefs. Quantum Theatre is bringing the story to you this summer. Everyone knows St George has to do battle with the dragon, but what happens when the dragon simply won’t fight St George? In this beloved classic story, a young boy befriends a poetry-loving dragon living in the Downs above his home. When the town-folk send for St. George to slay the dragon, the boy needs to come up with a clever plan to save his friend and convince the townsfolk to accept him.
