Let the smell of festive and fresh mince piece tempt you to indulge a little more. Shop till you drop and buy gorgeous food, arts, crafts and gifts. There will be entertainment, a range of rides and live music.

Advent at Bradgate Torch Light Procession and Carols, Sat 1 Dec

Join us on this gentle stroll through the Park by torch light. The procession will depart from the Newtown Linford Car Park through to the Park to the Bradgate House Ruins. Enjoy some warming refreshment and mince pies in the chapel along with joining in with the Christmas carols. Tickets Adult £5.00 Child £2.50 (under 16yrs). 5pm -6.30-pm.

Nevil Holt Opera Concerts, Sat 1 – Sun 2 Dec

Nevill Holt Opera brings you this classic masterpiece performed by its starry young artists and outstanding artistic partners the Britten Sinfonia for Handel’s Messiah which will be lit up with candles on Saturday evening and on Sunday enjoy an afternoon concert a stellar group of top international soloists come together to perform Mendelssohn’s Piano Trios, C minor Op.66 and D minor Op.49, in the stunning acoustic of the Nevill Holt Opera Theatre.

Guildhall Christmas Craft Fair, Leicester, Sat 1 Dec – Sun 2 Dec

The medieval Guildhall will be holding its annual festive fair with stalls showcasing local crafts and artists, with a wide range of treasures to inspire you this Christmas. Food available throughout the day. Children can enjoy trails and crafts throughout the weekend. Admission is £1 for adults, no charge for children.

Christmas Wheel of Light, Leicester until 7 Jan 2019

Leicester’s Wheel of Light returns to Jubilee Square, bringing extra fun to the festive season. Dare you rise up to a dizzying 110 feet to enjoy Jubilee Square and beyond in one of the gondolas? Tickets are available on the door starting at £4 for children / concessions and £5 for adults. Family tickets are also available.
