Brilliant bonfire event and fantastic firework displays in Leicestershire and Rutland! Our round up of the best local family events not to miss. Crackle, fizz, boom!

Coalville Firework Extravaganza, 27 Oct

A great local event for family and friends and definitely one not to be missed. There will be food and drink,  fun fair rides and more. Buy tickets here. From 4pm.

Lutterworth Firework and Bonfire Display, 2 Nov

The Lutterworth Golf Club is hosting its annual Bonfire and Fireworks event with activities for the whole family, live entertainment, hot food and drinks available too. Tickets in advance £5 (more on the gate) and under 5’s free.

Fireworks Evening at LCCC, 2 Nov 

Plugging itself as one of the biggest in the city, expect a spectacular fireworks, light and laser show. There will also be fairground rides and attractions, face painting and activities in the indoor cricket centre. From 5.30. Adults £8 , child £4 more on the gate.

For something different but just as much fun – there will be a Mr Punch & Miss Judy, fire eaters, a superb fun fair, multiple food and drink stations and of course a fireworks. Open from 5pm. Get your tickets here.

Bonfire & Fireworks Spooktacular, Mallory Park, Kirby Muxloe, 1 Nov 

Expect an evening filled with a fun fair, a bonfire, live music, food and drink stalls and a spectacular firework display set to live music from 5-9pm. £6 adult, £4 child.

Firework Display and Funfair at Leicester Racecourse, Oadby, 2 Nov

Rainbows Hospice will be hosting their annual family-friendly bonfire night at Leicester Racecourse. During the evening, you will also get to enjoy a brilliant bonfire plus, a family-friendly firework spectacular will also host an exciting funfair for thrill seekers to enjoy between 5.30pm and 10pm, while there will be a number of stalls, bars and food for you to enjoy.

There will be a huge fire, a firework display, refreshments and children’s rides. It’s a magical night out for all the family. Tickets must be purchased in advance for Bonfire Night and you have a choice of visiting Quorn and Woodhouse Station directly, or travelling in heritage style by train from Loughborough, Rothley or Leicester North stations. Train far inc event price, adults £14, child £10, family (2 adults and up to 3 children) £35.

Burbage Bonfire & Firework Display, 3 Nov

Bonfire and fantastic fireworks display . The fantastic freeman’s funfair will be here as usual as well as stalls and food and drinks. From 4pm.

St Joseph’s Bonfire Display, Market Harborough, 2 Nov

Harborough’s biggest bonfire, a fabulous 20 minute display and loads of refreshments, it’ll be one big night!Gates open at 6.30pm – admission£5 adults and £3 pounds for children, littlies free.

Long Whatton Bonfire Night & Fireworks Display, 2 Nov

Join the village to watch the bonfire being lit at 6.30 and then a fantastic firework display starting at 6:45. Following this their will be live music in the clubhouse with drinks and a bbq.

Gates open from 5.30 and firework display after 6pm. Adults £5 and under 16s £3. Bar, drinks, mulled wine and more. Tickets buy on the gate.

The 6.15pm show will be for the kids and the 7pm show will be complete with big bangs to create the perfect sight for spectators.  Open from 4.30pm. Tickets avail here.

Cottesmore Bonfire and Fireworks Night, Sun 3 Nov

The annual firework event kicks off again with a great fireworks display – there will also be an area for sparklers, fairground rides, stalls, a kids roundabout, bar and refreshments. Gates open 4pm. Advance price: Adults – £4 Child (1-16) – £1, more on the gate.

Abbey Park Fireworks, Leicester, 2 Nov

The city’s official celebration, this one is of course Leicester’s biggest bonfire and firework display. This year there will be an incredibly live show featuring The Lords of Lightning who will be firing white hot electricity bolts into explosive performances along to music. Show takes place 6.35pm and 7.50pm, plus lots of entertainment as always. Adult £6 under 16’s £4 and family of four £16, under 4s free – more on the gate. Save up to 40% on advance tickets online from the De Montfort Hall website or call the box office on 0116 233 3111.

Sheepy Bonfire Party & Firework Display, 1 Nov 

This well-known village display comes complete with a fire eater and entertainer. There will be music, food and a bar. From 6pm and tickets start from £3.28.

360 Degree Fireworks at Cattows Farm, 2 Nov

Calling itself the UK’s biggest 360 Fireworks Display, this really is one display you don’t want to miss. Expect some 60,000 fireworks and a fun laser display, there’s also live bands, children’s fairground rides and so much more. Tickets here from £11.50 and under 6 free.

Family Bonfire Night, Chives, Countesthorpe, 2 Nov

Family friendly bonfire night celebrations complete with bonfire. There’s plenty to do, with fair rides for the kids, burger, chips and candy floss and music. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm. Gates open from 5.30pm. Pre book tickets now.

Twinlakes Park, Melton Mowbray, 03 Nov

A full day of theme park fun with a magical firework display. This year theme is The Greatest Showmanand it’s their first ever musical synced firework display with music, fireworks, flames and more. If that wasn’t enough there’s also a circus. Tiny toddlers firework display (small and pretty display) at 6.45pm and main firework display – 7.15pm. general admission £16.


Firework Night, Conkers, Visit Conkers, 2 – 3 Nov

As well as a spectacular fireworks show, you can enjoy a laser disco, fairground rides, face painting, tombola, balloon modelling and this year there’s even a range of craft activities for the kids. Doors will open at 5.30pm and the show starts at 7.30pm. £8 adults, £6 kids.


Wicked Hathern Fireworks and Bonfire, Hathern, 2 Nov

Back for the ninth year, Charnwood’s big bonfire and firework event will also have live music, kids entertainment and big disco in our 240ft marquee – meaning whatever the weather there’ll be plenty of shelter! The silent firework and live music will be from 5.30 followed by the louder one. Gates open from 5.30pm

Wicked Hathern Fireworks and Bonfire, Dishley Grange

Belvoir Castle, 2 Nov

Warm and enjoy an evening of dazzling fireworks. There will also be a range of outdoor food stalls, with food provided by Fuel Tank – think delicious toffee apples, hog roast, classics burgers and hot dogs, veg options, hot drinks plus live music. Doors open at 5:30pm, the bonfire will be lit at 6pm, followed by fireworks at 7:15pm.  Tickets £10 adults, £5 children, and £25 for a family ticket.
