Raise a glass: The Muddy Awards 2021 Winners’ Drinks

Our annual awards wouldn't be the same without the main event: The winners' drinks. Here's how we celebrated with our fabulous 2021 Muddy Awards Winners.

We asked. You voted. And voted. And voted. The competition was supremely fierce, but after the nail biting, the agony, the ecstasy…. it was time to raise a glass (or several) and kick back with Rutland and Leicestershire’s favourite and finest independent businesses.

In regular Muddy fashion we invited all the winners together to celebrate and this year, we held our celebratory drinks at The Bond Street Distillery (Winner in the Best Bar category and pictured above) over in Hinckley.

The team at Bond Street Distillery who won Best Bar in the Muddy Awards 2021 and kindly hosted our event! Well done guys!

I’ve been doing these awards for the past 6 years and every year, it’s such a privilege to meet, greet and toast their win and celebrate their success.

After the tumultuous year we’ve all had, it was so heartwarming and inspiring to see so many innovative, high quality businesses thriving here in Leics and Rutland.

From L to R: Bond Street Distillery, drinks, prosecco, bottom left Halima who made the canapes and treats from the goodie bag!

I’d also like to give a special shout out to the kind businesses who donated gifts for our goodie bags. Simsante for her healthy and super delicious chocolate, Silvia from Sugah Lab for her adorable biscuits and Angela and Rupert Turton from ActionCOACH who donated a gift voucher to each winner for a complimentary 1-2-1 coaching session worth a whopping £500! I’d also like to thank The Flower Plant in Sileby for the beautiful blooms and Halima Ferreira of Tailored Taste for her wonderful canapes.

Check out some of the pics below, all taken by the brilliant Kim Burrows. You can read a little more about her here too.

But, as you know, the Muddy Awards are nothing without you, our discerning and, frankly, fabulous readers, so a massive thanks to all of you for voting in your thousands in support of your favourite local businesses.

See you next year! Kx
