The Kitsch Hen

Sometimes flowers and cards just don't feel right, but edible, colourful treats that come through the letterbox? Yes please! Feet up, kettle on!

Run from her bakery in Rutland, Caroline Stafford and her small team make delicious vanilla biscuits. Each one is hand stamped with a special message, gift wrapped and then sent off in the post on its merry way to brighten someone’s day.
The idea of sending beautiful edible biscuits came to Caroline when she wanted to let friends know she was thinking of them, even though you couldn’t be with them. The ‘Hug in a Biscuit’ is a best seller but there’s a biscuit for every possible event or milestone from baby showers to wedding favours, birthdays to Christmas and if you can’t see one that’s right, order a bespoke set and add your own message or inspirational quote (she loves a good quote).
For something a little different, try the biscuit cake. Two layers of vanilla or chocolate biscuit, sandwiched with whipped buttercream and decorated with handmade macarons, meringues and a choice of favourite chocolates or sweet treats, together with biscuits (of course!).
