The City Rooms is a Georgian, Grade 1 listed venue that’s been elegantly renovated into a stunning wedding and party venue in the heart of the city centre.

Built in 1792, it’s a venue steeped in history and was was originally intended to be Leicester’s first hotel. Today it still retains many fascinating features including original columns, staircase, shallow tunnel-vault and stucco decorations..

The ballroom – with its magnificent windows and grand chandeliers – is a stunning setting for any wedding or large event. It spans the whole length of the first floor and has tall ceilings which gives the room a sense of space and grandeur. As well as the ballroom, there’s also a beautifully decorated bar as well as the dining room and the drawing room. Both these rooms are perfect for more intimate celebrations plus, the city venue also has four boutique bedrooms hidden away upstairs.

Food is taken care of by the in-house chefs who can cater for any events and any cuisine whether it’s a large wedding ceremony or a traditional wedding breakfast, this venue will really pull out all the stops to ensure your wedding is as a wonderful as you hoped.
