The Royal Oak, Long Whatton
Muddy says: The Royal Oak is situated in the village of long Whatton. Service is spot on and the food is exceptional – no wonder it’s been awarded an AA rosette four years on the trot.
More than just a village pub, The Royal Oak serves delicious food in a rustic setting. Run by two bothers they really know how to do things right so expect whole some food with a strong emphasis on using fresh locally sourced produce. The pub is cosy and rustic and not too big which we love. They serve great real ales , guest beers and a carefully selected wine list with more than half available per glass. The restaurant is also listed in the Michelin Pub Guide they’ve been awarded an AA Rosette three years on the trot!
They’ve also revamped and updated the bedrooms and added a few extra rooms along the way. Each of the spacious en-suite bedrooms are comfortable and stylish with all the facilities a discerning traveller would expect for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
