Located deep in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, Purple Badger’s small campsite is nestled amongst two beautiful lakes  and comes with its own woodland, wildlife and a perfectly sized camping field.

The lakes are perfect for fishing so it’s no wonder this spot is so popular with avid anglers, but even if you’re not a dab hand with a fishing rod, the scenery is sublime.

There are two fully furnished shepherd huts, Logan and Jude. If you get your mitts on one of these, you’ll enjoy the view from a separate location overlooking the top lake and they both come with a double bed, fully fitted kitchenette, a boutique bathroom and a log burner – perfect for those chilly autumn/winter nights. They’re perfect for a romantic escape or worth booking just to glam up your fishing trip.

As well as this, there are nine spacious camping pitches in the site’s car-free field which include two of Purple Badger’s own canvas bell tents: Val (unfurnished) and Millie (furnished) but regardless where you pitch up, you’ll feel like you’re a million miles from civilisation, when in fact you’re only a short drive away from Leicester city. Oh, and did we mention they even have their own barista Coffee Cart with breakfast treats and all!
