Bruce Midgley is the founder of this wonderful artisan gin nestled in the heart of Melton Mowbray. Originally from South Africa, Bruce has cleverly used the hibiscus flower (often seen in his home town of Dubran) as a botanical in the gin and within the brand’s logo.
Bringing the brand to life, Bruce even designed and meticulously assembled the copper pot in which the gin is distilled. If that wasn’t impressive enough, the distillery is powered by sustainable energy via a wind turbine – part of what they believe an artisan gin distiller should be.
Their pink Rooibos and Baobab flavour combines two traditional African ingredients and you’ll find smooth hints of juniper dominants in their London Dry Gin, while their Black Edition features a gorgeous combination of botanicals including lime, ginger and meadowsweet, bringing a touch of spice and warmth to your glass.
Pass me a premium tonic, lemon, plenty of ice and I’m good to go!
