Gotta Have It
As you might just have noticed, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their son to the world this week. Wasn’t Harry so sweet when he announced it? It’s so refreshing to see a royal act like a normal human being with normal emotions. Anyway, we thought it the perfect juncture for a babywear edit. Not that we need much excuse to be honest – there’s so much brilliantly designed stuff out there these days plus, well, who doesn’t like gorgeous diddy clothes? (Don’t worry, Mr Muddy, it hasn’t given me any ideas. God, no.) So if you’re looking for a gift for the newest little prince or princess in your family or friendship group, here are some ridiculously cute ideas.
A gorgeous knitted rust orange stripe cardi against a soft grey jersey (£28) from Leicestershire brand, Claude and Co AND it comes with a matching crown (£12) perfect for your royal prince or princess – yes they’re unisex!
The crown design has two hidden snap poppers on the ties for safety when wearing and can easily be tied with the herringbone tapes. Sweeeet!
Not entirely sure how I feel about babies in leopard-print – thoughts? These Mini Rodini boots (£24) are certainly a talking point. The supercool Swedish brand also does a beanie and a bodysuit in the same print.
Cos’s kidswear is as sleek as its grown-up clothes. Check out the unusual colourway of this cardigan, (£29)
It maybe spring but the weather is pretty horrid so get your little one all cosied up in this cable knit jersey romper and check out that gorgeous colour (would love one in my size too). Available from local kids wear brand, We’re Sew Stuffed.
Gap does reliably stylish babywear, like this rainbow-striped unisex sleepsuit,(£14.95)
Lastly, these adorable white and grey Miffy bunny (£17.95) from Nest Gifts are made from velvety soft and cuddly cotton corduroy, just wonderful for little ones to snuggle up to. Inspired by the original classic Dutch drawings, a new generation of children can share in Miffy’s wonderful and imaginative adventures.
