Mia Fleur, a treasure trove of quirky home accessories

Have you ever come across something so far from your own style and taste that you just had to have it? Case in point this lovely pair of flamingo salt and pepper shakers. They’re so fun and eccentric and would look totally out of place in my kitchen, but that’s why I love them.

I found this colourful pair on MiaFleur, an online treasure trove of fun interiors accessories and gifts run by Jacqui Brooks and her two daughters Amelia and Hollie. A self-confessed fabric addict, Jacqui learnt to sew at an early age and confesses her home is a treasure trove of beautiful objects and textiles.

While raising five children, she put herself through full time education and combined her love of fabric and design to gain a degree in Textile Design at Loughborough University. The Brooks women have always shared a passion for interiors, design and styling so starting their online shop was inevitable. Jacqui and Amelia both share the craft and sewing gene, so together they design the handmade textiles while Hollie is the creative behind the website and blog.

Together the family carefully source quirky home accessories and gifts all over the UK to sell on their site. So much so that it takes an enormous amount of willpower to not keep the products for themselves.

How’s this zebra vase for quirky? While we’re on the subject of will power, you’ll need all of yours to stop yourself from buying at MiaFleur.
