New Year Property Flirt

Come and have a nosey around this stunning, six bed family house in Rutland (once a former grain store) with gorgeous views - and then guess the price.

Fancy having a snoop inside this impressive, modern family home? Well come on in! Take our whistle-stop house tour and then tell us what you think it’s worth in the comments below. Let’s go!

The Grain Store is an imaginative conversion of, well…a former grain store obvs! It’s all set over 2.6 acres and the stylish pad is just 8 miles to the north of Stamford on the Rutland/Lincolnshire border. The nearest village is Clipsham which has a renowned gastro pub, The Olive Branch (a Muddy fave!).

In the front door, you’ll find yourself in a grand hallway with the open plan kitchen and family room to the left and drawing room to the right. The kitchen and family room are the hub of the house with the two outside corners of the room benefitting from sliding doors leading to the garden that comes with gorgeous views.

The spacious kitchen comes with top-notch features including a Fisher & Paykel American style fridge and an Everhot 120i electric stove. There’s also a large contemporary Scandi log burner but that’s not all; next door there’s a handy larder and a beautifully crafted wine store (we likey a lot!). Downstairs there’s also a study with a built-in shelving unit and a bedroom.

In the grand galleried dining room you’ll find an elegant custom-built oak staircase. This room comes with Indonesian walnut coloured hardwood flooring and is vast and impressive!

This main staircase rises from the hall and splits with secondary flights leading to the principal bedroom, which has a Juliette balcony with the most wonderful easterly views and an en suite bathroom.

There are a further four bedrooms two of which have en suites, and a family bathroom. Bedrooms are all generously sized and most come with views of the lush green outdoors.

The garden, which is mainly set to lawn, wraps beautifully around the house and also features a terrace and is ideal for entertaining during the summer months. There’s also a covered garden loggia that has plenty of room for a dining table and is perfect for al fresco dinner parties when the weather isn’t doesn’t want to behave.

That’s the tour done! So, how much do you think this plush property is worth? Discuss, decide and see how close you got here.
