Superflashy, newsflash

Want to know all about the latest opening in Rutland, where to go for theatrical cocktails and all the goss on Hotel Brooklyn? It's all here!

Northern Cobbler, Oakham

The speciality coffee roasters are opening their third branch over in Oakham this month. The new store will be extension of the brand with the same look and feel of the Queens Road and Rolleston Lodge sites. Opening on High Street, it’ll offer some lifestyle products to purchase along with your latte! It also looks like they’re in the middle of a little refresh as we’ve spotted the Queen’s Road store being repainted and new branding for their Rolleston roastery is up now featuring a lovely, warm terracotta shade. Muddy loves!

Hotel Brookyln, Leicester

Hotel Brookyln, Manchester

This hotel is bringing unmistakeable New York flare to Leicester and it’s opening on the 4 July which ties in nicely with American Independence Day (obvs!). The 191-room hotel will pay homage to the New York suburb’s history and features a sexy, modern interior with lots of industrial touches – think hanging pendants and exposed duct pipes and brickwork. The hotel will also feature an open plan bar called The Lair, a large seating area called The Grandstand, a theatre-style open kitchen, skyline suites with hot tubs (yes please!) and a 28m-long curved pedestrian bridge that takes you from the hotel right into the stadium.

Twenty 1, Leicester

Enjoy cocktails and curry when this brand new Indian restaurant and bar opens in Leicester. Twenty 1 will be located next to the Great Central Railway and you can expect a few modern interpretations of classic Indian dishes and those that you may not find in other Indian restaurants. Details are still sketchy but it will be opening in the former Met Cafe. Watch this space!
