The Bewicke Arms
Muddy says, this pretty village local has a homely and welcoming feel where nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
This countryside pub is a hit with locals and it’s not hard to see why. Food here is focused on locally sourced, seasonal pub classics and their Sunday roast is not to be missed, meanwhile the staff are very attentive which makes the whole experience even better.
Inside there’s bare wooden beams, exposed brick walls, a wood-burning stove and lovely rustic furniture dotted around the place.
The pub also comes with rooms upstairs and down so if you’ve had too much to eat and need to rest your weary head, just stumble into one of the lovely rooms.
The Hare Pie Cafe is just across the road and run by the same owners – it’s a great place for breakfast or snacks in the day and perfect for a pit stop if you’ve been walking or cycling nearby.
