A fantasy world of witchcraft and wizardry, an epic new coffee and cake shop, and death-defying stunts - just a few things to try this week in Leics and Rutland.

EAT: Barnsdale Lodge, Rutland

Did you enjoy the Eat Out to Help Out deal? Sad to see it go? Well Barnsdale Hall Hotel, Rutland are running a special September Saver Menu (2 courses £15 o3 3 for £17.50) available Mon-Weds until 9pm for the rest of this month. TRY: Bitsy’s Emporium of Awesome, opening Sat 26 Sept

Step into a brand new cafe where you can eat epic baked goods, drink amazing coffee and also pick up lunch. Sounds like a normal cafe? Think again! Bitsy’s Emporium is a bit more fun and quirky – like the creator herself. It’s opening in North Mills, Frog Island this Saturday and is located just down the road from Muddy towers and I can’t wait. There will be music, art, booze and of course cake and coffee made with love by Bitsy! See you there.

SOLVE: Witchcraft and Wizardry, Leicester 26 Sept

Wands at the ready detectives! This new spell-binding adventure game from Clued Upp Games requires a mystery-solving wizards to join the fun! Transporting you to a fantasy world of witchcraft and wizardry, our enchanting outdoor adventure game will take your team on a magical journey all across town. Can your team of wizards unravel the mystery and crack the case in time? One ticket (£36) covers a team of 6 (kids play free).

Rutland Circus, Rutland Showground, Oakham 23- 27 Sept

Catch the circus over in Rutland and expect a tonne of new acts plus lots of fun and laughter, thrills, spills and glamour too. There is a restricted capacity for obvious reasons so book your tickets now. Ample free parking just look for the big top!
