7 ways to celebrate Father’s Day

Former England cricketer, Matthew Hoggard is heading to Loughborough’s Whatton House with his BBQ cookery school, Hoggy’s Grill to serve up a special pop-up Father’s Day feast. Taking place in the spectacular grounds on the 19 June dads will be able to enjoy pulled pork rolls with apple sauce and stuffing, fully loaded smash burgers or smoked chicken BBQ bloomers. Veggie options will also be avail, plus a free beer for dad and a kids menu too. Book a 12pm or 2pm sitting. Tickets £35 and £12 for kids.
The World Record-Breaking live comedy game show Wifi Wars is in town and you and your dad can join and play along! Log in with your smartphone or tablet and compete in a range of games, quizzes and challenges to win prizes! Hosted by comedian and regular video-games commentator, Steve McNeil (Team Captain on hit TV show Dara O’Briain’s Go 8 Bit). Performed live at the Y Theatre.

The Grange Garden Centre in Melton Mowbray have got a special Father’s Day menu on too and a free pint for dads.

Motorbike enthusiasts will get to enjoy a day out admiring range of BMW motorcycles as this year, the BMW Motorbike Club is heading to Belvoir Castle on the 19 June and bringing a display of their very best machines with them. Dad will be able to get up close and personal with a number of bikes that will be exhibited on the Castle Cannonade. Vroom vroom!
Dads will get the chance to pull their own pints at The Grainstore Brewery in Oakham this month. While here they can tuck into a Father’s Day lunch and then join the free tour at 3pm.
