Not the romantic type? Here's Muddy's top 10 offbeat picks for Valentine's Day fun that won't make you cringe.


Phoenix Cinema, Leicester are showing the classic Some Like It Hot tonight! Expect music, mayhem and more in this riotous flick! Meanwhile, Uppingham Films are showing the film, Leave No Trace. In it, a father and daughter live a perfect but mysterious existence in Forest Park, near Portland, Oregon, but when a small mistake tips them off to authorities, they need to find another place to call their own. Meanwhile Showcase Cinema De Lux, Highcross Leicester are showing the 90’s classic chick flick, Pretty Woman from 7pm.


Not sure what the weather will hold for you but it definitely won’t dampen your spirits here as you can still enjoy a two course meal indoors and watch all the racing action at Leicester Racecourse. You’ll get a glass of pink Prosecco on arrival, chocolate covered strawberries, and a red rose on the table. A treat for jazz fans over at The Musician. Clark Tracey Young Guns Quintet will be bringing with him a talented Quintet of accomplished young award winning musicians. These are some of the most brilliant young jazz musicians in the UK and each one of them perform with skills and presentation far beyond their years. Top quality jazz that swings.
