Join the culture crowd this summer as they descend on Tolethorpe Hall to attend the Stamford Shakespeare Company’s season of plays. This year book tickets to watch The Merchant of Venice, The Merry Wives of Windsor and The School for Scandal. Performances take place on an open air stage set within an enchanting woodland glade facing a 600-seat covered auditorium. Legendary dance DJ Pete Tong, along with the Heritage Orchestra conducted by Jules Buckley, will be bringing his Ibiza Classics tour to the magnificent and gorgeous ground of Belvoir Castle on Saturday, July 21. Pizza and Prosecco festival, Leicester, Sat 18 August

Enjoy a weekend of fizz and food at the ultimate foodie event! The Pizza (great for Mr Muddy) and Prosecco (great for me) festival is on tour and is coming to the city later this summer for the first time ever. You’ll be spoilt for choice with a range of pizza traders serving up slices all day long. A brand new three-day music festival is hitting our shores and locals can expect a whole host of chart-topping acts and a range of entertainment during the day with a wide variety of food and drinks stalls and a huge funfair for all ages to enjoy.
