Festive Gin-Ema Eve, Loughborough, Fri 8 Dec

Yes you read right! Enjoy a Friday evening with Gin & Hugh Grant what more could you ask for? The award-winning team at Bawdon Lodge Farm are putting together this fantastic evening. The indoor cinema in the barn will be showing  Love Actually and there will also be a licensed bar serving Burleigh’s Gin. Choose from the chance to do some gin tasting and enjoy pizza or just get tickets for the cinema (which also includes a gin cocktail on arrival). Film starts at 8.45pm. Book tickets here.

Christmas drive in outdoor cinema, Prestwold, Loughborough from 21 December

It just sounds so cool doesn’t it? A drive in cinema for Christmas! Well cinema lovers can get their festive fix as tickets are available now for movies including Elf, Home Alone, Miracle on 34th Street, Gremlins, The Muppet Christmas Carol and Die Hard. Tuck into hotdogs, pizzas and more while you sit back, relax in your car and enjoy a brilliant night of festive fun on the big screen. Tickets are £28 per car with 1-5 people per vehicle now that’s a bargain!

Ski Light Cinema

New vintage cinema

Ever wanted the chance to have your own chick flick night with your best gal pals? Well now you can and in the comfort of a private cinema. Film fans are in for a treat as a new vintage cinema is set to open in Leicester city centre on Dec 1st. The Queen of Bradgate, will be opening the cinema on its upper floor and will be fitted with Dolby Atmos for perfect cinema surround sound technology. The cinema will be available to hire for private events as well as children’s parties and you can even watch your own films – will it be Top Gun, Ghost or Dirty Dancing? The cinema will approximately sit about 15 people making it the perfect intimate way to spend an afternoon or evening. The exact design details are being kept a secret but it will feature some original 1940s cinema seating. To enquire or book the cinema, speak to either Hannah or Sally at the Queen of Bradagte from 1 Dec.

Festive ice rink

Tickets for Leicester’s ice rink are on sale now. The ice rink is back in the city for the first time in almost 10 years and will open to the public in Jubilee Square on Sat 9 Dec so if you’re interested you should get your skates on and bag them now! Each skate session will last 45 minutes and includes skate hire for £8 for adults and £6.50 for children/concessions at off-peak times (11am-4pm Monday to Friday). Tickets at all other times will cost £9 for adults and £7.50 for children/concessions. If your mudlets aren’t too confident on the ice there will be Penguin-shaped skating aids available to hire and there will also be special nights including Ice Discos to look forward to. Tickets for the ice rink are available now.
