Oskia is your new beauty must-have
This luxurious skincare range is designed using nutrients and complex bio-actives to give you a beautifully healthy and glowing complexion yada yada yada! Heard it all before, right? Wrong.
Everything about this brand was telling me to try it, but the main reason I succumbed was because it uses MSM. What the bejesus is that?
MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a natural form of organic sulphur which is said to help boost collagen production, promote circulation and helps decrease inflammation for a brighter, younger looking complexion. It’s referred to by those in the know, as the ‘beauty mineral’ and ‘miracle supplement’ something that the beauty industry is obsessed with, so it’s no surprise that it’s been on my radar for quite some time.
As soon as my products arrived, I ditched my store-bought brand and started with the basics – the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel. The first thing that took me by surprise is that the cleanser is salmon pink and because it;’s a gel it is totally different to anything I had ever used before. You simply massage it into your skin and it doesn’t foam and you don’t need to use it with water – it just goes straight on yer face ladies. It’s a gel-to-oil facial cleanser that works to effortlessly remove makeup too and you just clean it off with warm water.
It’s packed with lots of lovely things including vitamins A, C & E and refreshing chamomile and rose and ohh and it’s also supposed to enhance collagen production. Bonus!
I followed it up with the Nutri-Active Day Cream which is supposed to moisturise, hydrate, repair and protect. It’s worth switching from your winter moisturiser to this one altogether which is fresher and lighter and is perfect for this hot weather and doesn’t make your face feel greasy.
The one thing I did notice or rather, didn’t notice was the smell; the website says it’s ‘scented with our signature Rose-Lychee natural perfume’ but I couldn’t smell this, in fact there was no smell at all.
Fast forward a few weeks and my skin is looking brighter and fresh (still trying to find a magical cure to get rid of my under-eye bags. If anyone has any suggestions, please pass them my way). I love the way both these products feel on my skin especially during this heatwave – suffice to say I’ve found a new friend indeed in MSM.
