Winners Drinks – Muddy Awards 2017

We asked and you voted! Yes, that’s right you voted for the best local lifestyle businesses across 27 categories and generated thousands of votes. We created winners, and we met some fantastic people along the way. Celebratory drinks were held at The Old Stables Swithland (gorg venue BTW).

I was busy mingling and toasting the winners and it seems, so was everyone else. Nearly all the winning businesses made it to the party (we missed those who couldn’t make it) and there was plenty of food, drink and not to mention gorgeous cake to go around.

The Old Stables provided the drinks (fizz and pink lemonade) as well as the food and the super talented Elle Townsend baked an amazing chocolate sponge cake complete with the Muddy Stilettos Winner logo – check her handy work out above! The event was captured by Matt Glover who I absolutely adore; he not only made everyone feel comfortable, he’s brilliant at what he does and has a laugh along the way!

Steve from Treasured Momentz won Best Photographer

Visit Conkers won Best Family Attraction

The lovely Jodie from Lily Loves Shopping won Best Gift Store

Jane from Wistow Cafe who won in the Best Cafe category

A massive thank to all of the readers and voters who also helped make the Awards a whole loada fun and seriously competitive! There were winners from all over the county, from Leicester to Lutterworth but also smaller outlying villages like Quorn, Blaby, Hungarton and a special big up to the winners from Market Harborough.

Some of the Market Harborough winners including Farndon Fields (Best Farmshop/Deli) and Ascough’s Bistro (Best Restaurant)

Out of 27 Muddy Stiletto winners 12 were from there which just goes to show how much of a hot bed of talent there is here and definitely worth a visit (I am planning a visit asap).

Rich from Antidote Art (Best Art Gallery) Natalie Rew who won the Best Fitness Instructor, Sara also from Antidote Art and Nikki from Lutterworth Pilates Studio who won in the Best Yoga/Pilates category – all representing Lutterworth.

Wherever you are in the county, please try and pop along and use their services over the coming months. I know they’d be delighted to see you, and they are Muddy winners for a reason! A special mention to all the finalists too – I was gutted to see some of them miss out last minute by a few votes. It’s fair to say there are some fantastic businesses in the area and so much talent that it makes what I’m doing so much more fun. Go and visit these businesses and show them your support, I know I’ll be working my way over to each and everyone in the next few months. #loveleics
