Watch some street theatre as you tuck into local food and drink at the annual event. Creative street food vendors will line the streets of this historic town with entertainment provided by local school choirs, singers, musicians and performers. As usual there will be street theatre, Santa’s grotto and this is a great opportunity to start your festive shopping too. Set the festivities off with a bang during the Christmas Light Switch On and Firework Display on the Friday night! The Christmas Fair will run on the Saturday 9 -5pm.

Santa Lantern Train and Market – Long Whatton, Thur 20 Dec
A real good one to visit to get the kids excited! At 5pm Santa’s Lantern Train starts his journey through the village of Long Whatton following the candle lit lanterns that children have made. The procession starts on Turvey Lane, then along Piper Drive, The Green and Main Street to end at the Cricket Ground. Here you will be greeted in the cricket club bar, the local choir will sing Christmas carols and in a marquee will be market stalls selling traditional Christmas gifts and crafts.
